Your Right to Cancel

Where you are a consumer and enter into an eligible service contract with Fox Tech Repairs Ltd at a distance — for example online or by email — you will normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period.

For a service contract, the cancellation period normally begins when the contract is entered into.

You do not need to give a reason for cancelling.

Asking Us to Begin Within 14 Days

You may ask Fox Tech Repairs Ltd to begin diagnostic work before the end of your statutory cancellation period.

When booking, you may be asked to confirm:

I would like Fox Tech Repairs to begin diagnostic work immediately. I understand that once the diagnostic service has been fully completed, I will lose my statutory right to cancel that service.

If you make this request and then cancel before the diagnostic service has been fully completed, you may be required to pay an amount proportionate to the diagnostic work already supplied up to the point at which you notify us of your cancellation.

Once the diagnostic service has been fully completed following your express request and acknowledgement, your statutory right to cancel that completed diagnostic service will end.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the diagnostic service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill.

Repair Quotations

Diagnosis and a subsequently authorised repair may occur at different stages.

We will not perform additional chargeable repair work without your approval.

Where approval of a repair quotation creates an additional service contract and a cancellation right applies, we may ask you to expressly request that the repair begins before that cancellation period expires.

How to Cancel

To exercise an applicable cancellation right, tell us clearly that you wish to cancel.

Returning Your Device Following Cancellation

If your device is already in our possession when you cancel, we will arrange for it to be returned once any amounts properly payable have been dealt with.

Any applicable return-delivery charge will be communicated before dispatch where such a charge is permitted and was properly disclosed.

Nothing in this policy affects remedies available where cancellation results from a breach for which we are responsible.

Faulty Services

Cancellation rights are separate from your legal rights where a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Those rights are not restricted by this policy.
